The One Show - Various VT's
I have recently been doing a lot of VT's for BBC1's The One Show. They're varied and usually light-hearted films about life in Britain. In these clips journalist John Sergeant meets 'eccentrics': a man who turned his flat into the Starship Enterprise and another who endlessly builds follies in his garden.

Baby Days
A 'fly on the wall' look at life on Rotherham General Hospital's Maternity Unit for Discovery Home and Health. We shot everyday for 9 weeks so building relationships with the staff and parents-to-be was as important as the techie stuff. There were no retakes, no holding staff up until we were ready - we had to be ready when they were and get it right first time.

The Ashes 2005 'Tornadocam'
For Channel 4's Cricket coverage of the 2005 Ashes Test Series I operated Arri's newly developed Tornado high speed camera. The Tornado system can run from 100 to 2000 frames per second and enables instant playback at HD quality.

This clip is a montage of action from the whole Ashes Series. Approximately half the shots are mine. The other camera operators were Paul Freeman and Steve Porritt.

'Dig With Dibnah'
A mostly hand-held documentary for BBC 2 following Fred and his ex-miner mates as they attempt to sink a replica mine shaft in Fred’s back garden. Think ‘Last of the Summer Wine’ on the other side of the Pennines. We tried to interfere as little as possible as the drama unfolded before the lens...

We spent a week in Cuba exploring the country. For the ident's I tried to capture the colours and culture I saw on every street corner. I have vast travel experience - over 25 countries and islands at the last count. I also have a valid VISA to work in the USA. Courtesy of Sky Travel.
